First workshop of EBRAINS-France

The first EBRAINS France workshop will take place on 15th of October 2024, at the Institute for Neuroscience of la Timone, in Marseille

EBRAINS-France is the French node of the European EBRAINS infrastructure. EBRAINS is a digital research infrastructure created to provide sets of advanced data, software and tools for neuroscience research. EBRAINS is an emanation of the Human Brain Project.

The workshop aims to showcase the current organization of the French node of EBRAINS and facilitate constructive discussions regarding the scientific goals and future developments. The workshop is intended to stimulate discussion and attract researchers who may not have previously contributed to EBRAINS or the Human Brain Project.

Scientific committee

  • Andrea Brovelli, Institut des Neurosciences de la Timone, Marseille
  • Julien Bastin, Grenoble Institut des Neurosciences, Grenoble
  • Sophie Achard, Laboratoire Jean Kuntzmann LJK, Univ. Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble

Discussion on 3 or 4 specific topics, for example:

  • What do you expect from Ebrains?
  • What do you want to provide to Ebrains?
  •  Is the long term vision based on the Digital Twin Brain enough for future neuroscience?
  • What is the best research infrastructure bridging experimentalists and theoreticians?
  • How can the French research structures allow such integration?
